GARAGE CAM
Camera shots were updated regularly so you could watch as the team got the car ready for the
2005 racing season.  The car debuted at the 2005 Motorsports Show at the Ft. Washington
Expo Center the 2nd week of January.  A deadline that had came fast.
Timeline starts from the bottom up.

rebuild
(3/14/05) After doing some pre-season shows it is back to the garage to make all
the final preparation before the season starts. The engine, transmission & radiator
is installed and a bunch of little misc. stuff finished up. Tomorrow we'll get it started
up and actually drive it for the first time in the back parking lot.

rebuild
(1/14/05) Here it is, at the 2005 Motorsports Show. The car was on display at the
Cargo Trailer Sales booth.  A big thanks to them for their support and allowing us
the space to display our car while promoting all of our sponsors who support our
racing adventure.  It was great seeing so many familiar faces while also meeting
so many new ones.

Well, I hope those who have been following our buildup enjoyed stopping in once in a
while to check our progress. If not, take a look now.  You may find it interesting.
Check back again, there is still lots to do yet, especially when the engine comes
back from the engine builders. We'll keep you updated.

rebuild
(1/13/05) Woo-Hoo!!!  Finally done.
Just as Gene came with the trailer to take it down to the expo center for the show.

rebuild
(1/13/05) The decaling and lettering continues.

rebuild
(1/12/05) The paint is dry and the decals are now going on.  Some remaining
body parts and mounts are also being finished up. The new tires are wrapped in
plastic to keep them fresh and clean during transport for the show.

Rebuild 13
(1/11/05) The paint is starting to go down. Bill is busy getting his graphics figured out
and painted. Meanwhile, Jack surveys the progress, or maybe he's holding up the
counter, hmmmm?  Just a couple days left now, clocks ticking.

rebuild
(1/3/05) Finished nose, fenders, hood and rear spoiler.
Almost time for paint & decals.

rebuild
(12/28/04) With the car now on the ground Harry could get the chassis ride height
adjusted so Bill can get the molded Dodge nosepiece mounted at the correct location.
Once that was done he continued with the sheetmetal above the nose along with
fitting the front fender tops.  Hmmm, starting to look a little like a race car now.

rebuild
(12/27/04) The guys got four wheels all cleaned up and then mounted some new tires.
Finally, the car is off the stands and on the ground.  Bodywork continues with new
right side panels. Rear deck, roof and roof sides are riveted & dzut'd together.

rebuild 9
(12/20/04) Harry's got the rear suspension all together. Harry, Jack (left) and Gene (right)
are now concentrating on assembling the front suspension.  Bill got the seat and
seat belts mounted along with the front bumper and side bar . Bill also continues with
the bodywork and is working on the paint scheme he will be applying.
The car should be on the ground early next week.
Then it'll really start looking like a race car again.

rebuild
(12/13/04) Harry's got much of the rear suspension together. The shocks have come in so they'll be going on next. Also time to start on the front end.
(12/14/04) Meanwhile Bill has been busy moving along with the new bodywork. The rear deck, roof and left side panels have been created.

rebuild 7
(12/6/04)  Gene got much of the electrical wiring hooked up. Harry (left) has gotten the
steering rack & shaft installed and continues on working with the rear suspension.
Jack
(right) got most of the brake lines laid out and is working on the fuel lines.
Bill continues on his sheetmetal work.

Rebuild 6
(12/2/04) All the used sheetmetal around the drivers compartment that we will be reusing
is now installed. Bill
(left) is starting on the new sheetmetal now. Harry (right) is starting
on the rear suspension. He's got the hubs and rotors mounted to the axles. Here he
is working on getting the brake calipers mounted.

rebuild 4
(11/27/04)  We are reusing much of the drivers tub area from last year. We generally
replace these every other year so this will save us some time since they were all
new last year.  Panels containing the brake/clutch pedals & cylinders are mounted
along with the throttle pedal and fire extinguisher.

rebuild 3
(11/26/04)  Later in the evening we got the chassis in the garage. Now, where to start?

Rebuild 2
(11/26/04)  We picked up the chassis Friday morning from the paint shop, our friends from
Precision Coachwork Inc.
20 Quigg St.
(behind Marjeanne Caterers) Lansdale, PA
Chris and his crew did an excellent job with the chassis. We switched to a gloss
gray which we think will look great against the red interior body panels.

line

(11/22/04) The chassis has been at the paint shop for about 2 weeks now. They
are a little behind which is putting us behind.  We've got a deadline to have the
car ready by the second week in January and there is alot of work to do

line

Rebuild
(11/08/04) Ok, here we go. Step one completed. The first step of rebuilding for the 2005
racing season has been completed. "Get the chassis back from the chassis builder."

Jim Bernheisel, of Bernheisel Racing Components, gave the chassis a thorough
check up. It was much needed after a very tough, . . er . . . rough, season.  After
alot of work the chassis has been freshened up, ready for another season.
Next the chassis will be taken to the body shop and get blasted and painted.
